Dear Tamara,
We all make mistakes.
It doesn't mean anything about you.
We all hurt, cry, worry, fear.
It doesn't mean anything about you.
People get angry, people get disappointed.
It doesn't mean anything about you.
You are a good person.
You have been an extraordinary hostess to your inlaws and even found a way to enjoy the visit.
You care about the feelings of others.
You inspire people...such as Janel, to make changes for the better.
You are a good mommy to the kids, the dogs, the cats. Sometimes even to lost dogs who find their way to your door.
Take each day as it comes, experience it to its fullest, and then let it go.
Love.
Breathe.

I've got far too many filters. I should just do what paisli did and delete all friends and see who adds me back. Not to be rude or anything, but yeah I like to know who is going out there knowing about my mood swings and weight problems, dirt on my kids and husband, etc.  Not a lot of people use this site anymore either so I'd rather keep it real here and do the short updates and twitter posts on facebook.

here are all the filters I currently have for my journal entries:
Personal
Weight loss
Girls Only
To Do Lists
Landmark/Counseling
and the newest one: Parenting

So okay, just to make my life a tad more interesting I am going to delete all my friends and give y'all the weekend to make a private post about to stay or not and what filters (if any) you want in on...I might not care what filters you want and just make all my posts friends only.  you can scroll if you want to right?
Absolutely NO HARD FEELINGS, okay?  I like everyone on both my fb and lj or you wouldn't have been added, but lets be honest with ourselves, if you don't have the time or interest then why do it?  It doesn't mean anything anyway.

Another Filter?

I think I have to set up a filter for parenting advice, brags and bitches.
If you want to be included, you know the drill.

Interesting Horoscope for me

at peace
PiscesPisces (2/19-3/20)

Your sensitive nature and kindness to others and the amazing way you have of seeing nothing but the best in everyone make you naturally appealing to others. So you probably have quite the collection of fascinating friends, don't you? Well, don't be surprised if at least one new friend crosses your path and they're quite unlike anyone you've ever known. Enjoy them. This will certainly be interesting.

Writer's Block: Scorching day

On a scorching day, do you prefer the beach or an air-conditioned movie theater?

I choose b. an air conditioned theatre for two reasons

As much as I love the beach, if it's scorching I will get burned and be miserable for days afterwards and there aren't many beaches in the landlocked state of Colorado.

What do you most want for your family’s future?

For my parents, I want them to enjoy their retirement fully. I want them to experience new things, be adventurous and not have to constantly worry about their "fixed" income. I hate that 2 hard working, "company loyal", financially responsible people got screwed so bad by their forced early retirements and plummeting retirement accounts.

For my kids, I want them to realize every dream without limitations. I want them to know that they can choose to live in a this AND that world rather than an either or world. I want them to see the world AND get an education. I want them to be rock stars AND rocket scientists (or whatever they decide). They really can live the life of their dreams.

For me and my husband I want to have a deep connection to each other, our families, our community and ourselves. I want to explore the world, live in multiple locations, and still have time to offer people in my life a hand when needed.

I want to spend every Christmas together no matter where we live.

Realistic To Do List

  • Make to do list and then fail to look it over during the day
  • Promise to make a healthy breakfast and then hit snooze until 11am
  • Eat at German Deli instead
  • Go to run errands only to realize you've forgotten the ONE thing that HAD to be done
  • Last minute pack the kids bags only to find they've been hiding their dirty socks and underwear in their closets so they don't have enough for the trip. Because NOTHING says "trust me, I am taking good care of your son and grandchildren" like not having enough underwear packed.
  • Give kids the $20 you promised you would give them for their trip IF they did their chores, even though they did NOT complete their chores, because you are a sucker like that.
  • Drive to airport, get halfway there and realize you are almost out of gas.
  • Have a great experience at the airport with two boys, their skateboards, no boarding pass (for me) at airport rush hour.
  • Leave airport, and realize - HEY, I could go drink myself silly if I want to and nobody would ever know. But choose to go home and read in the blissful silence.

Summer Vacation
The freedom to make new friends, and keep them for an hour or two, never see each other again, and that all being part of a great day.
The lack of responsibility.

I love your 365 idea Lisa and everyone else...but I dont have the stick-with-it-ness to post a year's worth of photos.
However, I have started a photo journal of my everyday life on facebook titled "One Day at a Time" or something like that.

Here is a sample of day one:
